Rootin' Tootin' 2nd Birthday!!

The Princess just turned two a month ago (can't believe a month has already passed!). With everything going on with the divorce, party planning wasn't my first priority, which is odd because I LOVE to plan parties! I love getting ideas from fancy parties and making them my own!! I had many inspirations for a Cowgirl Party: my Aunt pulled together a fabulous party for her daughter, it's Rodeo season in Houston, and this adorable picture!!

The Princess wearing Gymboree's Couture Collection and her Cowgirl hat...Cowgirl Couture
Once I decided on the theme, I started searching blogs for creative ideas for a Cowgirl party! I love this party I found on Tomkat Studios blog! I love Vintage (which is why I love selling Vintage Couture). Since this was the first party I have done on a budget, I had to get creative (thankfully my Mom helped out too!)
I ordered the Invitations, cupcake toppers, and water labels from Cherished Times on Etsy! She did a fabulous job! Wish I had taken more pics! My mom did the printing and I used a 2" hole punch from Michael's for the cupcake toppers. We ordered actual water bottle labels and placed them on the water ourselves. I tied ribbon around the neck of the bottle with a charms that I found at Hobby Lobby (one of my Favorite Stores)!!

Every Cowgirl party needs stick-horses! I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to find these at reasonable prices!Since I was giving these as favors, I didn't want to spend $10-$20/each! Thankfully my Aunt had leftover ponies that I could use! She found them at the Family Dollar for $1/each, unfortunatley, they are no longer sold there.

The General Store, a cowgirl candy bar! I love the idea of candy bars and it looks so cute, but at my Princess' age, they don't seem to be as interested in the candy! My Mom and I actually found "vintage" candy at Michael's (by the register) notice the throwback Mike & Ike box! We also found "vintage" candy at the Family Dollar, such as GooGoo's, Mini Moon Pies, and Cowtails!

Pony Rides! Since I was planning a Cowgirl party I had to have a pony ride for the Princess! I looked online at the prices and they were not in the budget! So I asked my Grandfather if he knew of anyone, He did!! The man's daughter had it and wasn't taking care of it, so my Grandfather rescued this poor pony, not only that, my Grandparents ran out and bought a new saddle and reigns for "Little Star". So much for Free, but they saved this sweet "Little Star"

The Princess on her First Pony Ride!
Needless to say, I was NERVOUS!!

The Princess was so excited, she enjoyed it so much she was ready for another ride!

So she's spoiled and gets whatever she wants! The Queen's back was hurting from the first time hunching over her that her sweet Uncle held onto her, while her cousin took the lead! Notice my Dad in the background with the Flip (I love that thing)

Maddy on "Bowdacious" the Bull! This happen to be my little brothers from when he was little, my Mom hauled it around a craftshow for him! Thankfully my Mom doesn't get rid of everything so she still had it and it was perfect for the party! And yes that is real hay! I went to the local feed store (did I mention I live outside the suburbs, yes pretty much the country), they allowed me to "borrow" the hay! Instead of borrowing a truck to take it back, I sent it home with "Little Star"! My allergies were crazy as it was!

The Princess was laughing at how ridiculously big her Cupcake was! My Cousin came into town to help me get ready for the party, Thank YOU!! We made cupcakes for the guest and made the Princess her own Giant Cupcake! We found the pan at Walmart!

It was very windy outside and we could not get the candles to stay lit! But notice those adorable boot cups! I found those at a party warehouse, Arne's!
This was the aftermath of the party! I really wish I had taken more photos! What I didn't picture was:
Hot Dog and S'more Roastin in the Fire Pit
Diff flavored Drinks in glass bottles for vintage feel
"Wanted" photo op
Vintage games, such as Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Ring Toss, Shooting game
I hate that I didn't take as many pictures as I had hoped, next time I'll have someone help me with that! All in all, the Princess Cowgirl really enjoyed her day and we were blessed with the people we love!
